It’s been a full week since Super Tuesday revealing that conservatives across the board are still very far away from a nominee in the GOP primary for President.
Tonight we have Alabama, Hawaii, and Mississippi. Wins in these states would push Romney further away from the other candidates and nearly guarantee him victory in the GOP nominating process. We’ll see what happens. Not as big a night as last Tuesday, but they can’t all be like Super Tuesday. Polls as of this afternoon show Romney/Gingrich going head-to-head in both Alabama and Mississippi, a big surprise when you know that Gingrich really needs to win these states to stay in the race.
If Romney wins all three, it would be time for either Santorum or Gingrich to drop out to allow for a clear man-to-man race heading toward the convention. That won’t happen.
